Welcome to the home of the Corinth Volunteer Fire Department on the web! We hope you enjoy the site and take a moment to sign our guest book. We hope to keep everything updated as often as we can, and thanks again for your visit .

It is the official position of the U.S. Fire Administration that all Americans should be protected against death, injury, and property loss resulting from fire in their residences. All homes should be equipped with smoke alarms and automatic fire sprinklers, and families should prepare and practice emergency escape plans.

TOWER LADDER DONATED TO CORINTH FD

Corinth Firefighters will soon have a new piece of equipment in service. June 23,2009 Deputy Chief Bowers made the trip north to Findlay Ohio to pick up a 1988 Sutphen 85' Tower Ladder. The truck was DONATED by the TERRY FARRELL FUND to Corinth Fire Department. The Tower Ladder will be the first ladder truck in-service by a volunteer fire station, and will be only the second in the entire county . The Truck has a 4 man enclosed cab, detroit diesel engine, allison automatic transmission, 1500gpm hale pump with a 350 gallon tank, and a 85' Sutphen platform, the truck was also refurbished in 1996 by Custom Fire Apparatus and a new body installed. The truck is the former Findlay Ohio Ladder 1.

Corinth Fire Department would like to send a special thanks to Brian Farrell who made all this possible, and to Rusty Moss for providing the means to transport the truck back to South Carolina.

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund was established in memory of Terry Farrell, a decorated member of Rescue 4/FDNY and Chief of the Dix Hills Volunteer Fire Department.

Terry, along with 342 of his brothers, perished on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attack.

Our Fund is here to assist firefighters and their families with educational, medical and equipment needs. We support the firefighters who serve our communities
